What Information We Collect

When you interact with our website, we may collect the following information:

• Personal details such as your name, email address, phone number and any other information you provide via contact forms or subscription services.
• Information related to your preferences, interests and any feedback you share.
• Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit on our site, which we use to improve your experience of the site.

Enquiries and consultation requests

When you send us an enquiry through the consultation form, we collect your name and email address, the type of project, what you write in your message, and your phone number and postcode if you choose to give them. We keep a copy and we send it to our studio inbox so that a person can reply to you.

We use this only to respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation. We store no more than is needed, we never sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below. We hold this data on our behalf using Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery) as our processors.

The AI Estimator

When you use the AI Estimator we collect your name, email address, the postcode, town and county of the property, the project brief you write, and your answers to the questions the tool asks. On the professional tier, we also collect the drawings you upload.

To produce your estimate, the brief, your answers and any drawings you upload are sent to Anthropic, the provider of the AI model that reads them. Anthropic processes this material on our behalf to return the analysis, and does not use it to train its models. Your drawings and images are also stored in our own private storage so we can review the estimate. The working files a finished estimate leaves behind are deleted automatically after 48 hours. The estimate itself and your contact details are kept as a business record until you ask us to remove them.

Our processors for this service are Anthropic (AI analysis, United States), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (email delivery) and Netlify (website hosting). When you type a postcode, we look it up through Postcodes.io so the town and county fill themselves. That lookup is made by our server, so your browser and your IP address are never exposed to them. Card payments for estimates are handled by Stripe, who receive your payment details directly. We never see or store your card number. Transfers outside the UK are made under the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers. We do not sell your information, and we do not share your drawings with anyone beyond these processors.

If you would prefer your drawings not to be processed by an AI provider, do not upload them. Contact us instead and we will quote the traditional way.

The design cost calculator

If you use the postcode check, we send your postcode to postcodes.io to find where it is, and that location to the government's Planning Data service (and to Historic England if that service is unavailable) to look up conservation areas, Article 4 directions and listed buildings. We do not store your postcode.

MVV Technologies Limited (registered in England & Wales, company number 17300982) is the data controller for The Estimator and for this website. MVV Construction Ltd is the controller for enquiries about building works and for any project we go on to carry out.

Your Rights
